| No one reads this.
Don't know why I bother.

| Another step in a direction I was not intending to go...
Since we've released the tsnVmIRC chat client...I decided that we need
one on the website. A couple ideas I just had were a web chat for the
Firefox Sidebar...and/or an iFrame in the tsn pages so that when you
log onto the site, you are also logged into the chat room, and can chat
with the people while you post on the site. I think that would be cool.
It would give people who don't normally use IRC a chance to get
acquainted with it.
I wonder if this thing RSS's <_< .

| I don't come here very often anymore. I guess mainly because no one
reads it, or no one replies...and everything I do on the site has been
behind the scenes lately.
There was one public development that happened recently - the release
of beta.the-spot.net. It's the beta software portion of the site. I
have decided that I would release some tsnV-oriented software to
accompany the new connectivity and communication that is inherent in
all of tsnV.
Such communication and connectivity is provided by RSS feeds, new chat
rooms, SMS Phone alerts for new PMs, fully integrated website that
allows you to view all of the website while still just focusing on part
of it, and other things for the public.
I dunno...there are just so many things that I want to do with this
version of the site, that getting them all prepared for release has
prolonged the release itself. I still intend on getting the forums out
by 50,000 posts, or by the end of May, which ever comes first; so I'm
working towards that. Everything else I have been working on lately has
been on a whim. The RSS Feeds, I saw on the desktop sidebar, and then
on a Microsoft site...so I took the code, formatted it to work on tsn,
and then made more for other portions of the site. The IRC Chat...I
didn't like IRC because the look and functionality was too complicated,
and the user interface sucked. So I modded it out, and learned the
code, and added some functionality for the users who don't like IRC
either. Now it's just like typing on tsn and using an IM program at the
same time.
But anyway...I actually met a deadline on time for once with a website,
and had everything completely done for it's release. I released
http://beta.the-spot.net Saturday as planned with the software packaged
and released as planned. So this tells me that there is still hope for
releasing the rest of the site, as planned. I just have to run through
and make sure I have covered all the loopholes that didn't get changed
in the redesign.
Oh, crap...and I still have to create the My Spot Page and Start
Screen. v_v that is the biggest challenge...because I have to write
code for them. Other pages, I just edit the code.

| Well, I've been working on various aspects of tsnV for various reasons, and at various times. Lately I have been working on the mIRC chat program for the site, the rss news headline feed that will send tsnV News straight to your desktop (and soon, a feed that will send the newest posts straight to your desktop too!), and the Freeform Frog store again. But the latest thing I have started working on is the Punix-GT comic strip webpage.
I've run into some design and coding issues that I didn't expect, like which page to make the code out of...the view forum or the view pic. But anyway, that's what I am working on right now, and then I will get started back on the My Spot page for tsnV. After that, I will move throughout the rest of the site and get it going.
| ALAS! More Progress!
I got the Personal Galleries working on the Photobook, and all the links...for that work...I believe. That's for the mod's to test out when I give them ability to see the site.
The next thing to work on would be getting the links in the SITE to work. I updated the Header, and now the links point to tsnV portions of the site, and not back to tsnIII (which was always a pain in the butt for me).
We have a calendar feature too, but for some odd reason I can't get the calendar to post events. So I will be looking into that this weekend.
Also, tonight, I started working on the tsnV commercial, like the one I made for etbustudents.cc that you can view here: http://www.the-spot.net/commercial/e3com.html . This one is set to a music track from Z-Trip's new album "Shifting Gears" with the vocals by Chester of Linkin Park. It rawks my face. And I'm sure it will rock your's too.
And I made two new logos on paper this week: WZUP and Freeform Frog., Yes guys...they're back. And when the get coded into the site, they will be even better than before. Because this is tsnV...and it will be the best, for a long time.
I guess that's it for tonight. I will get as much of this stuff done (plus a school fake website for an online store...ugh...) this weekend. Laterz.
